The Social Change & Solidarity Profile, formerly North South Studies, invites you to the Fiesta Solidaria!  

 

Calling all 1998 to 2024 alumni, current and future students, present and retired teachers, and all friends and families of the Social Change & Solidarity profile. This event follows in the footsteps of the Spaghetti Dinner, the Gallo Pinto Dinner, the Viva Cuba event, and the North South Soirée of years past.  Please join us for our big community celebration and solidarity fundraiser!  

 

This year’s program will include: 

  • A first-ever celebration of our local migrant justice partnerships!  
  • Multi-media student presentation about their 3-week delegation to Cuba 
  • Multi-media student presentation about their experience with local movements in Montreal 
  • Appetizers, cocktails, and mocktails 
  • Art exhibit and swag (NSS and SCS tote bags!) 
  • Music and dancing! 

You can purchase your tickets here or at the door.  If you cannot attend, please make a donation!

 

Sliding scale pricing: 

  • $8 for current Dawson students (covers the cost) 
  • $20+ general admission (for alumni, teachers, parents, community members, etc.) *
  • Note: we have a limited number of free “solidarity” tickets for our active community partners. If you believe you should be the recipient of a solidarity ticket, contact [email protected] 

 *An official tax receipt will be issued for donations (amounts over $20).

 

All proceeds will go to support Social Change & Solidarity activities including the 2025-2026 Solidarity Delegation to Cuba and our Local Solidarity Intensive in Montreal.
