NORTH SOUTH SOIRÉE 2024

The Social Change & Solidarity and North South Studies profile invites you to the North South Soirée!  

Calling all 1998 to 2023 alumni, current and future students, present and retired teachers, and all friends of the North South Studies / Social Change & Solidarity profile. This event follows in the footsteps of the Spaghetti Dinner, the Gallo Pinto Dinner, and the Viva Cuba event of years past.  Please join us for our big community celebration and solidarity fundraiser!  

This year’s program will include: 

• Celebration of the final North South Studies graduating class 
• Launch of the Social Change & Solidarity local partnerships 
• Retirement celebration for Maryann Farkas 
• Student presentation of their trip to Cuba 
• Cuban appetizers, cocktails, and mocktails 
• Art exhibit and swag (NSS and SCS tote bags!) 
• Music and dancing!!

Sliding scale pricing: 

• $8 for current Dawson students (covers the cost) 
• $20+ general admission (for alumni, teachers, parents, community members, etc.) *

 *An official tax receipt will be issued for donations (amounts over $20).

All proceeds will go to support Social Change & Solidarity activities including the 2024-2025 Field Trip to Cuba and our new local social justice partnerships.
