The Social Change & Solidarity profile invites you to the Fiesta Solidaria!  

 

Calling all 1998 to 2025 alumni, current and future students, present and retired teachers, and all friends and families of the North South Studies / Social Change & Solidarity profile. This event follows in the footsteps of the Spaghetti Dinner, the Gallo Pinto Dinner, the Viva Cuba event, and the North South Soirée of years past.  Please join us for our big community celebration and solidarity fundraiser!  

 

This year’s program will include: 

  • A celebration of our local migrant justice partnerships!  
  • Multi-media about our 3-week delegation to Cuba 
  • Multi-media about learning with local movements in Montreal 
  • Appetizers, cocktails, and mocktails 
  • Art exhibits and swag (NSS and SCS tote bags!) 
  • Music and dancing! 

You can purchase your tickets here or at the door.  If you cannot attend, please consider making a donation!

 

Sliding scale pricing: 

  • $10 for current Dawson students (covers the cost) 
  • $15 for non-Dawson students
  • $20+ general admission (for alumni, teachers, parents, community members, etc.) *
  • Note: we have a limited number of free “solidarity” tickets for our active community partners. If you believe you should be the recipient of a solidarity ticket, contact [email protected] 

 *An official tax receipt will be issued for donations (amounts over $20).

All proceeds will go to support Social Change & Solidarity activities including continued medical donations to Cuba, our 2026-2027 Global Field Trip, and our migrant justice partners in Montreal.
